This is a critical safety leadership role in our newly acquired business, ReFire.
ReFire are a leading Australian owned and operated distributor of pipes, valves, fittings and piping machinery, providing products and solutions to the fire, water, mining, irrigation and general industries.

We're on the lookout for a Safety Lead for our newly acquired Fire Business known as Refire to spearhead our safety transformation agenda across our vibrant manufacturing, logistics, and branch network in Australia. As our Safety Lead-Fire you will report into the ANZ Safety Leader and work closely with the Fire Operations Leader. You will be at the helm of our safety initiatives, working closely with our amazing branch managers, manufacturing team members and senior managers to empower our operations team, instil a culture of safety excellence, and drive continuous improvement at every turn. From coaching and mentoring to leading impactful initiatives, you'll be the driving force behind our journey to safety greatness.
The position could be based out of our Newcastle or Five Dock (Sydney) office location.
About you
1. You’ll have strong demonstrated experience in safety management roles specifically with manufacturing, with exposure to logistics and retail type environments as well.
2. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and foster a collaborative safety culture.
3. Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to assess safety performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
4. Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, and deliver results within established timelines.
5. Have an absolute can do attitude and be able to work in flat structures, utilising our diverse operations network to influence safety outcomes and to assist in driving the safety agenda.
6. Commitment to personal and professional development, staying abreast of evolving safety trends and technologies to enhance organizational capabilities. Mentoring and Coaching at all levels, with excellent influencing skills, to create and maintain high performing teams
7. Diploma or equivalent (NEBOSH) in Work Health and Safety.
8. Qualified lead auditor
9. ICAM Training qualified
