Duties
* Provide secretariat and governance support.
* Effective program management and reporting.
* Ability to apply good judgement and subject matter knowledge to make policy/program decisions.
* Prepare draft correspondence, briefing papers, minutes, briefs, and input to external requests for information.
* Work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues in a team environment.
* Engage positively and effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support policy development and program implementation.
Skills and Qualifications
* Secretariat and governance support experience.
* Good interpersonal skills, ability to build productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for own work and contribute to team outcomes.
* Experience in policy/program development, implementation, and management, including demonstrated analytical skills to inform policy design and development.
* Delivering support and services to programs and scholarships.
* Strategic and innovative thinking, ability to problem solve and be collaborative.
What's on offer
The successful candidate will be offered an APS5 equivalent salary rate contract (dependent on experience). Notionally, 12-month contract. This position is based in Woden, ACT.
As this role is with the Federal Government, only Australian citizens will be considered for this vacancy, a Baseline Security Clearance and a National Police Check (within the last 6-months) is preferred, or willingness to obtain.
