About the Role
The University of Melbourne is seeking an outstanding Academic with research leadership in Construction, to join an internationally recognised group of academics within the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning.
You will lead high-quality teaching related to conventional, advanced and emerging construction technologies. You will foster relationships and actively initiate and collaborate in research in emerging and innovative construction techniques and/or construction materials areas. You will engage with industry and help shape excellent teaching and exciting research opportunities at the new Fishermans Bend Campus - a hub for large-scale experimental research.
Your responsibilities will include:
4. Providing leadership in construction technology-focused education programs.
5. Building and fostering partnerships with industry, government, collaborators at other universities, and other stakeholders that can contribute to research in the construction technology area.
6. Sustaining strong research activities within and outside the University, particularly in the construction technology and/or materials area.
Who We Are Looking For
We’re looking for someone with drive and determination who demonstrate collegiality and ethical behaviour. You will be able to drive research in the construction technology and/or construction materials area and be an engaging and innovative educator.
You will also have:
7. A research doctorate or equivalent in construction, civil engineering, architectural engineering, or equivalent.
8. Drive, energy, and a vision for building and leading a world-class research program in the construction technology and/or construction materials areas at the Fishermans Bend Campus.
9. Demonstrated teaching experience and skills appropriate for undergraduate and postgraduate content delivery in a range of subjects in the field of construction technology.
10. A demonstrated track record of high-quality research and scholarship in construction technology and/or construction materials areas.

The Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning is the leading educational and research institution in the Asia-Pacific region addressing the design and realisation of environments.
