An exciting career opportunity exists for an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Maintenance Supervisor to help manage the day-to-day operation at our Geelong manufacturing site, Victoria, reporting to the Engineering Manager.
This role is a hands-on leadership role, and the successful applicant will excel in implementing management direction, have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, and be passionate about improving business profitability.
Key Responsibilities:Maintain and control a preventative and emergency maintenance program for all plant services and buildings.Develop and implement failure modes effects analysis for all plant and equipment.Coordinate and implement fault finding, diagnosing, isolating, shutting down, repairs, and modifications.Utilise CMMS software for efficient trade management.Read and interpret technical information and specifications from equipment manuals and manufacturer documentation.Supervise and accept responsibility for the maintenance staff, including coordination of shift, overtime, and leave rosters.Supervise external contractors, ensuring adherence to safety rules and company policies.Address issues and grievances in consultation with HR.Adhere to company OHS, food hygiene, environmental, and HR policies and procedures.Monitor process equipment efficiency and maintain it to a high standard of performance and condition.Liaise with other departments to optimize productivity in a cooperative manner.Coordinate weekend maintenance programs and work with teams.Train, coach, and develop personnel to ensure adequate support staff within the department.Ensure a high level of safety and provide leadership in achieving no significant injuries within the maintenance team.Involvement in the installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment.Monitor and ensure spare parts stock associated with the store is maintained at acceptable levels and supervise the security of the facility and equipment.Ensure that all engineering works undertaken are compliant with statutory codes and internal standards.Commit to and participate in continuous improvement activities.Carry out maintenance works within certification to company equipment and facilities as required by management.Occupational Health and Safety:Demonstrate awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all actions are conducted safely and with OH&S guidelines.Perform all job tasks in accordance with defined procedures and guidelines to ensure safety of fellow employees.Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures.Be familiar with safety, first aid, and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely according to trained instructions.Ensure all incidents are recorded, communicated, and investigated.An attractive and competitive package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
