Sydney Ancillary Areas Permanent Our client is a leading debt markets trading intermediary focused on Fixed Income and Money Market dealing for Institutional and Semi-Government clients. This is a support position working closely with the CEO and dealing team to ensure the professional delivery of our client’s money market and fixed income dealing services. Through broad exposure to a number of areas within the business this individual will be in a unique position to be able to step in wherever they are required. Ideal applicants would be recent grads with 6-12 months’ experience seeking a start in a financial services career. This role will enable the individual to progress into more senior operations or dealing roles after 12 months once the relevant systems, skills and knowledge have been mastered. Responsibilities: Maintain client records including compliance information such as AML. New client set up. Generating various reports from Salesforce and analysing the information created. Assist with basic office management tasks. Ad hoc tasks assisting the CEO in managing and running the business. Assist CEO with market research. Assist with organising and facilitating client meetings and trade shows. Sales needs analysis and identifying target markets. Monitor sales results and update the Client Relationship Management database. Create sales support materials. Identify new prospects. Analyse the sales pipeline. Create and meet client technical requirements. Give service support to clients. Client profitability analysis. Satisfy client service requests such as redemptions and roll-overs in a timely manner. Assist with business development research and marketing. Assist with testing new technology enhancements. Required Education, Skills, and Experience: Degree qualified in economics, commerce, or related field. Ability to adopt and use new forms of technology quickly. Proficient at Microsoft Excel (to a high level), Word and PowerPoint. Some form of previous work experience. Desired Qualities: Knowledge of the economy and the relationship with interest rate markets and yield curve dynamics. Experience working with other stakeholders. CRM (Salesforce) experience or other cloud platforms. Familiarity with Bloomberg. Ability to interact with clients or other stakeholders face-to-face. Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written, dealing with clients and peers in an efficient, friendly, polite and professional manner. Solutions driven and able to think outside the box. Ability to operate within specific guidelines. Initiative, common-sense approach and ability to operate without instructions.
