The role The Policy Support Officer, in System Support Services, is responsible for providing high-quality policy and administrative support to all members of System Support Services, to ensure effective management of the annual Estimates process. Key responsibilities: Provide effective and efficient administrative and governance support services including correspondence management, appropriate tracking, follow up and monitoring of deadlines and action items. Assist with research and analysis of policy and funding issues and contribute to the preparation of high-quality reports, briefing notes and correspondence as required. Assist in the organisation of meetings and preparation of meeting papers required for the annual Estimates Hearings process. The successful person You will have demonstrated: Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to rapidly acquire new knowledge related to a broad range of health policy, performance, strategy and funding issues. Project management skills and personal organisation skills including the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and set priorities to achieve results within tight deadlines in a fast paced and high-pressure environment. Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with effective interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to liaise effectively and provide information and feedback, to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
