This role will be responsible for taking inbound phone calls from residents of the municipality regarding the different services provided by Council.
Your typical duties may include:
1. Provide accurate and timely information and assistance to customers in all aspects of Council over the counters, via telephone and email
2. Effectively and efficiently manage customer's service requests, complaints, general enquiries and transactions through effective questioning, negotiation and conflict management
3. Ensure customer satisfaction whilst demonstrating an understanding and application of Council policies, procedures and guidelines utilising all available resources, whilst ensuring confidentiality of information at all times
4. Accurately perform back office clerical and administrative tasks as required
To be successful, you will possess:
5. High-level customer service skills, both phone based and face-to-face
6. Demonstrated experience within a high volume Call Centre environment including experience in using a customer management or request tracking application
7. Previous experience working in an administrative environment with a strong customer and team focus
8. Well-developed interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively
9. Local Council experience highly desirable
