About the Role As our General Manager of Risk Governance and Compliance, you’ll join us to lead, coach and guide our Risk Governance and Compliance team with primary accountability for developing and maintaining the Group-wide risk management strategy and frameworks. In this opportunity you will also oversee compliance across the group, ensuring we operate in accordance with regulatory obligations. You’ll be dedicated to developing and executing strategic risk and compliance initiatives, fostering a risk-aware culture, and supporting compliance with relevant regulatory standards and obligations. From a Group-wide risk management strategy perspective, you’ll lead the development and maintenance of the frameworks and risk reporting to relevant Board and Executive Risk Committees. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for compliance within the organisation, providing assurance that BOQ Group operates in accordance with regulatory obligations, along with oversee progress towards our defined Risk Culture Target State. About you We are on the hunt for a highly experienced senior Risk, Governance and Compliance professional who comes armed with an advanced knowledge of Risk Management Frameworks, Governance, and Risk Reporting. We’re seeking someone with passion in this space, who lives and breathe all things Australian regulatory requirements, APRA Prudential Standards, Corporations Act, NCC, BCOP, and Privacy Act – that’s right, you are the go-to You’re a proactive Risk leader who is on the pulse with all things current in the world of Risk, Governance and Compliance, showcasing extensive knowledge of industry changes and advancements in risk and compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures. Holding a qualification in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business, Commerce, or relevant qualifications is highly desirable. With a deep background in all aspects of financial and non-financial risk, along with advanced knowledge of APRA and ASIC and proven leadership you’ll be in good stead for this role.
