the Murray-Darling Basin Plan.The Position Reception supports the day-to-day administration of the MDBA's Canberra office and provides additional support to facilities and protective security functions.The role will be involved in the delivery of all aspects of administration tied to the Reception Service offering.The role reports to the Canberra Property Manager.The Reception Support Officer is a client-focused role who is required to undertake straightforward tasks although some tasks may have an element of complexity, especially those linked to local security or property processes or systems.They work under general direction against established priorities and procedures while exercising regular autonomy about how work tasks are performed.Your key responsibilities in this role are to: Coordinate/allocate workflow through Support Services email Inbox.Undertake routine and non-routine reception duties including (but not limited to):Maintaining general cleanliness of reception kitchen and ensuring stock is well kept.Answering switchboard phone.Answering general enquiries from staff (in-person, over the phone, and via MS Teams).Greeting visitors to Reception, signing in visitors and notifying staff.Escorting visitors/contractors on the premises as needed.Provide intermediate Electronic Access Control system (EACS) support as required.Issuing appropriate passes for staff, external service providers, visitors on the premises as needed.Issuing keys / locker allocation.Assisting with the setting up of rooms for MDBA meetings.Ordering catering, uniforms and maintaining registers.Non-routine / Last minute ordering of stores/stationery or milk.Managing car parking ballot.Support Travel Administrators in managing travel requests.Support the protective security functions as required, including physical security onboarding in collaboration with People and Culture and ICT sections.Desk booking, Visitor management, and pass management system administration and vendor liaison.Provide Protective Security assistance including (but not limited to):Deliver staff onboarding (staff photos / issuing security passes and conducting inductions).Issuing appropriate passes for staff, external service providers, visitors on the premises as needed.Manage Electronic Access Control system (EACS) support as required.Contribute to other projects, tasks and processes as required, including providing considerations towards business process improvements (such as updating the Reception manual).What we offer you: You will have the
