About the Role
Based at Bapcor’s Tullamarine Supply Chain, the AM Shift Manager –Supply Chain is a newly created key role, with a focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and leadership, to support Bapcor’s Distribution Centres transformation. This role is responsible for leading the warehouse teams to ensure that all goods are correctly unloaded, stored, issued, and reconciled in accordance with relevant processes and support the growth and development of innovative operations actors the Distribution Centre.
Key responsibilities include:
There are 6 key elements of this role, spanning Health & Safety, General Operations, Quality, Cost, Continuous Improvement and Leadership.
· Proactively questions and challenges process activities and actively identify opportunities and suggestions to improve existing processes. Works within the team and with other teams to implement improvements.
· Delivery of process improvement projects and continuous improvement processes, to further the costeffectiveness of operations.
· Effectively drives QA processes through shift operations ensuring order and stock quality and customer satisfaction.
· Ensures that all operational tasks are completed in line with business goals, with clean shift handover and with strict adherence to Labour Management Plan
• Identifies risks and issues within the warehouse, in consultation with employees and actions, resolves, or escalates as required.
· Drive efficiencies and build the best service and cost to serve our customers.
· Optimisation across the warehousing functions.
· Build strong partnerships with internal/external stakeholders.
· Build a culture that represents our Bapcor values and drives capability and performance.
About You
· Innovative in solving problems and seeking new solutions, being able to come up with effective solutions to inefficiencies in the operations process.
· Demonstrated record of getting results through a motivated and engaged team in a transforming environment.
· Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
· Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with delivery of cost and operational targets.
· Tertiary Qualifications and or relevant Shift Management (or equivalent) experience in fast paced large Distribution Centre environment.
· Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
· Analytical, with strong attention to detail.
· Proficient computer skills in the Microsoft 365 Suite.
