Kagome works hand-in-hand with growers, producers, and consumers, ensuring every product is packed with true flavour.The Role:Coordinate and manage weekly staff requirements to execute the farming plan and timeline.Operate within the set budget for crops within your control, making recommendations for cost-saving measures where possible.Prepare farming land to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity while ensuring alignment with global farming best practices and continual improvement.Establish, operate, and maintain irrigation systems and infrastructure.Monitor and maintain records of key farming activities, particularly fertiliser and chemical application records.Ensure all witnessed and/or reported safety concerns or equipment damages are resolved or escalated immediately at the time of the event.Monitor work practices within the work area to ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, related legislative requirements, and Kagome’s OH&S policies and procedures.Implement work practices and procedures within the work area to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Kagome’s Privacy Policies and Procedures.Implement, promote, and monitor continuous improvement and 6S programs within the work area of responsibility and broadly across Kagome’s operations.The Ideal Candidate & Requirements:We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of three years of experience in a row cropping business or in production farming, preferably in broad-acre cropping. The ideal candidate should have supervisory experience and a working knowledge of GPS guidance systems, small seed precision seeders, John Deere and Case tractors, row crop equipment, and self-propelled and trailing sprayers. Additionally, a solid understanding of agricultural chemical products and knowledge of centre pivot or subsurface drip irrigation systems is required.Requirements:Qualifications in Agriculture or a similar discipline are desirable.Current High-Risk Work Licence – Forklift Truck.Open Class Drivers Licence – (Heavy Vehicle license favourable).AgVet Chemical Certificate/ NSW Ground Applicator License or ACUP Licence (any recognised AMR scheme license or permit is sufficient).The Offer:The successful applicant will be offered a great salary package that includes super, a bonus incentive, a work vehicle, a mobile phone, and accommodation options to suit the applicant's needs.The working location is approximately 20 minutes from the townships of Deniliquin and Finley.
