As the HR Business Partner, you will take the lead in managing all things employee-related, ensuring the seamless operation of the employee lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include providing HR advice, managing employee queries, overseeing employment-related issues, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. You will work closely with managers and employees to foster a culture of respect, professionalism, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
o Ensure compliance with legislation and organisational policies, including Responsible Service of Alcohol, Responsible Conduct of Gaming, and Food Safety.
o Generate HR documents such as Flexible Working Arrangements (FWAs), termination letters, warnings, pay increase letters, and job descriptions.
o Manage P&L-related leave requests, including Maternity/Parental Leave, Study Leave, Leave Without Pay, Jury Duty, and Emergency Leave.
o Provide timely and accurate HR advice across the business, including interpreting policies and enterprise agreements.
o Conduct 3-week reviews in line with the probation process.
o Manage the dispute resolution process for frontline employees in collaboration with managers.
o Advise employees on the DOOLEYS Employee Enterprise Agreement, National Employment Standards, and workplace policies.
o Manage and support employment termination processes in conjunction with the HR Manager and Senior HR Business Partner.
o Provide advice, coaching, and support to managers to enhance people management and capability.
o Support grievance handling, performance management, industrial and employee relations, and EEO matters.
o Work closely with the Senior HR Business Partner on complex people-related matters.
o Handle ad hoc HR requests and queries.
o Cover HR Administrator duties during scheduled leave.
o Adhere to Club WHS requirements and responsibilities.
o Embody and promote Club Values: Courage, Respect, Professionalism, Integrity, and Humility.
What We’re Looking For
o Responsible Service of Alcohol, Responsible Conduct of Gaming.
o Diploma in HR/bachelor’s in business (HR) or related discipline.
o Experience: 2-3 years in an HR role, preferably in retail, hospitality, or the service sector.
o Skills: Strong knowledge of HR policies and practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, relationship management and influencing capabilities, and high levels of organisation and efficiency.
o Focus: A passion for people and culture with a strong commitment to fostering a positive workplace environment.
