Reporting to the Executive Director People, Culture & Learning, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have a friendly can-do approach and be able to multi-task and prioritise competing demands.This role will see you delivering operational HR advice to staff and managers, providing the full range of general Human Resource services and activities. The HR Advisor will support the coordination and delivery of HR operational activities throughout the employment lifecycle and HR cyclical programs. This role will be responsible for end-to-end HR support for a designated client group.Your key responsibilities will include:Provide advice to managers and staff on the interpretation of legislation, Award and policies, e.g. NES, Health Professionals and Support Services Award, leave entitlements, exits and terminations, OHS, etc.Support people managers with employment relations matters, e.g., performance management, work health and safety, workplace behaviour, disputes etc.Provide advice on internal HR process and procedures, e.g., applying for leave, internal vacancies, performance review process, incidents and injuries, L&D, etc.Support the coordination of strategic HR initiatives such as engagement surveys, delivery of leadership programs and staff professional development.HR operations activities such as probation check-ins, exit interviews, HR project support and responding to relevant queries in the People inbox.Coordinate the annual policy review, including review and update as required.Prepare quarterly leave reports; annual leave and long service leave liability; excessive sick leave to discuss with managers.You will be an agile team player who:Has minimum 2 years of experience in generalist HR practices including policy interpretation, HR administration, recruitment, and selection.Demonstrated experience in providing sound advice and partnering with stakeholders to deliver HR solutions and outcomes.Working knowledge of HR operational practices.Experience in providing HR policy advice to staff and managers. Experience providing HR support to a contact centre is highly regarded.Skilled at supporting stakeholders and clients (internal and external).High level organisational skills.High level verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrate flexibility and initiative with the ability to think 'outside the square'.Ability to work in a self-directed manner and manage a high volume of multiple tasks to tight deadlines.Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels.High attention to detail and outcome focused.Working at Converge means joining a diverse, talented, and caring community where our people feel included, valued and connected.
