About our team
The HR & Finance Systems Section, within the Corporate & Case Systems Branch, is responsible for the provision of development and sustainment support for the department's SAP landscape including the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, easySAP, Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC), SAP Authorisations and Access management, Financial Delegations, Payroll, Financial Management and General Ledger, Border Receipting and Revenue Receipting, Travel Management, Asset Management, Procurement, Contractor Timesheets and Invoicing, SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and SAP Process Integration (PI) as well as supporting a number of peripheral HR and finance capability systems.
The Section undertakes both project and business as usual sustainment services that include enhancements, system upgrades and legislative change requirements. SAP is a mission critical system and plays an integral role is maintaining the integrity of Australia's borders and the safety of both staff and citizens.

Our ideal candidate
We are seeking enthusiastic candidates at the APS6 level for a number of roles who are eager to contribute to an amazing team environment and develop their skills within the complex SAP environment. You will have:
- Strong multitasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and proactively, with minimal supervision.
- The ability to work as part of an effective team, maintaining adaptability and a positive 'can do' attitude.
- Strong understanding of the IT Service Management Framework ITIL, ITIL 4 qualifications desirable.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide high-quality support to users of the Departments SAP capabilities. This includes following, developing and implementing IT Service Management practices aligned to ITIL practices, where applicable, maintaining high quality communications with clients and stakeholders, prioritising competing tasks and timely escalations to other support teams and vendors, when required. Develop documentation, user guides and provide one-on-one training to users of the SAP capability to build user ability and minimise support requests.
- Provide support for other capabilities such as AssetDNA, Whispir, and Alemba Service Manager (ASM).
OR
- Within the Finance or HR space, develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and integrity of system solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including functional, system integration, regression, performance and user acceptance testing. Support business users during user acceptance testing; Identify, report and monitor defects, working with developers to resolve them. Create and review documentation for testing processes, defect identification, and resolution. Support and contribute to critical technical design to deliver new capability or enhancements to existing processes and systems; Develop new programs with efficiency (in line with approved architectural standards) and completed within schedule of works. Leverage the client's knowledge of business processes. Perform peer reviews on other team member's deliverables. Mentor junior members within the team.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
- ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
- Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
