Primary Location Canberra, ACT Job Description Summary Service Stream’s Telecommunications division are currently seeking a Field Supervisor to join our ODM (On-Demand Module) team. Reporting directly to the Regional Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of design & constructions projects, perform site assessment, surveys, provide build quotes and lead a team of subcontractors. About the Role The Field Supervisor will manage a large portfolio of NBN ODM Construction projects, perform site assessments, lead a team of subcontractors and proactively manage construction orders to ensure you are delivering to key dates. This position will also support the business in the day to day operations activities and contractor management functions within the NBN ODM contract and to ensure contractors completing work maintain and are compliant with all safety & quality standards and meet contractual performance targets. Nature of position: Permanent, Full-time Location: Canberra, ACT Reporting Line: Regional Delivery Manager Key Responsibilities Lead, direct, supervise and coordinate the activities of field staff and subcontractors. Perform site assessments, survey and compile deliverables for quotes, designs and certifications. Manage a large portfolio of projects and proactively schedule in construction activities to meet commitment dates. Have a thorough understanding of NBN design standards to ensure an accurate scope/survey is performed. Review and understand construction designs and build to the correct specifications. Ensure all field work is of a high quality standard and consistent with relevant OH&S policies and procedures. Conduct toolbox talks, HSE & Quality inspections. Coordinate and assist in the training of all staff and subcontractors including management of subcontractor compliance. Liaise with the client and its customers to appropriately manage the client's network and plant. Liaise with and make all arrangements with public authorities for provision of services to the network and working in public areas. Arrange reports to management and the customer on the status of work. Ensure contractors meet operational & KPI targets About You Five years of working within the external plant network. Experience leading teams of subcontractors and managing a large portfolio of projects. Experience in ODM NBN contract. Experience in site assessment. Civil construction, cable hauling and NBN fibre experience. Experience in HFC, FTTN, FTTC, FTTP. Previous experience managing operational performance and targets. Strong excel skills. Flexible approach and well-developed contract management skills. Strong clients focus and the ability to negotiate.
