This role sits within the corporate affairs team.
This is a temporary position for 11 months.
You will oversee the website and social media presence, and support employee-oriented digital communications tools.
It is being hired on a contract basis to support resourcing as we build new services to meet Digital Services Standards 2.0.Your new roleThe key component of the role is managing the website and the content published on it - ensuring it meets usability, accessibility and security standards.
A strategic mindset and strong operational capability is required to deliver key content initiatives, champion improvements and partner with development, hosting and other digital partners.
It is also a hands-on role involving writing and developing content, and leading a team member responsible for managing the many external publications.Key accountabilities and outcomesResponsible for overseeing ongoing digital communications strategy, influencing and reflecting the perspectives of stakeholders across Corporate Affairs, Chief of Staff and other stakeholder functions (Data and Technology, strategy, information governance; insights).Responsible for publishing and maintaining high-value content on the website and supporting the company external communications colleagues to do the same.
This involves publishing around 300 news items per annum year as well as keeping static content up to date.Responsible for ensuring the website and compliance with all security standards, driving an established regimen of testing.Overseeing and driving the deliverables of external agency/ies, who help ensure that the website is upgraded to the latest security and technical requirements and can also support with advanced publishing requirements.Responsible for the social media strategy and maintaining a social media content calendar for sharing publications and employee-focused content.
This involves strong collaboration with colleagues to identify opportunities for engaging content and working with the design team as required.Proactively monitoring our web and social analytics to track the performance of content.Desired experience:10+ years' experience in a similar digital communications role.An expert in the use of Drupal and JIRA.Experience managing external agencies to deliver digital outcomes.Understanding of employee communications tools in the Microsoft environment, including experience with SharePoint, Viva Engage etc.A strong understanding of accessibility principles and best practice.What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV to ******, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.
