VetSouth is a locally owned and operated veterinary business, formed almost 20 years ago with the original merger of the Winton and Gore veterinary businesses, and now sits under the Comhla Vet Group umbrella, a larger, owner-operator veterinary group.
We've grown over the years and now have eight clinics across Southland and South Otago.
In the past year, we have organised these into three main 'Hubs'.
Currently we have a South Hub Manager and an East Hub Manager.
We're now looking for the right person to join us and become the West Hub Manager, based in Winton.
You'll oversee our veterinary operations in Winton, Otautau and Lumsden, and be responsible for over 20 vets and 30 support staff.
The role will collaborate with the two other Hub Managers and work closely with the senior management team across the whole of VetSouth.
You'll have a fantastic team of amazing, enthusiastic staff to work alongside.
Ideally, you'll have a strong customer focus, an understanding of the rural environment, and experience in running a busy and sometimes chaotic business.
You'll have excellent people skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
You'll also have a strong commercial understanding, good time management, and enjoy what you do.
You'll be comfortable with not knowing what the next day or next hour will bring.
We believe that the line between work and play should be hard to see; both should be fun, require passion, energy and commitment.
Both should be fulfilling.
Despite this, we think this is a wonderful opportunity for someone keen to work hard in a stimulating environment with an amazing group of people.
But don't take our word for it - ask around.
We're an integral part of our wonderful rural community, and most people will have an opinion of what we're like - warts and all.
If this role sounds like you, or you have any questions about the role, please reach out.
Applications close 9th April.
