Our client, a prominent federal government organisation, is seeking 8 x experienced Senior DevOps Engineers (EL1) for an exciting contract opportunity. About the Role
The Senior DevOps Engineer will undertake complex, high-impact work under broad direction, driving quality outcomes across cloud and data infrastructure projects. This role requires a considerable degree of independence, problem-solving expertise, and sound judgement to provide senior-level technical advice and support. You’ll collaborate closely with business stakeholders and full-stack development teams to enhance project delivery using agile methodologies, while managing key relationships to advance organisational goals. Some Key Responsibilities include:
* Design, build, deploy, and support cloud and data infrastructure solutions.
* Prioritise and manage work items within a structured queue to ensure timely delivery.
* Ensure solutions adhere to integration best practices and meet desired business outcomes.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and set priorities within an agile framework.
* Build and maintain continuous delivery pipelines using modern DevOps tools and practices.
* Actively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing the organisation in various forums as required.

About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
* Extensive hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services.
* Proven expertise in building and deploying DevOps practices, tools, and continuous delivery pipelines (e.g., GitLab, Artifactory, Jira).
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
* Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
* Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
* Knowledge of database deployment and administration (e.g., Postgres, MySQL).
* Familiarity with networking, Cloudflare, or HashiCorp Vault.
* Experience building and managing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
In addition to the above, you must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain a Negative Vetting Clearance 1 (NV1).
