We are looking to hire several permanent full-time Machine Operators based in our Minto Ice Cream factory on rotating shifts for our General Shifts [Monday – Friday rotating shifts / 12-hour shifts, 3 weeks pattern and 1 Saturday every 3 weeks for 6 months and all weekends off for the other 6 months] and earn $1,000 per week during Winter & $1,200 during Summer (before tax). Role Responsibilities:
1. Conduct cleaning and lubrication as required. Possess basic knowledge of the principles of mechanism, motion, and pneumatics.
2. Maintain machinery to the prescribed standards and levels of cleanliness.
3. You will also carry out cleaning and inspection activities and record any issues to the Technical Operator to resolve.
4. Understand the properties of the materials being handled. Able to perform correct adjustments and settings.
5. Proactively work with Professional Maintenance and Quality Control staff to achieve zero breakdowns and zero defects.
6. Carry out product and process changeovers/washouts to maintain quality standards whilst minimizing the impact on the production plan.
7. Ensure the optimal usage of the resources, minimizing waste during production.
8. Initiate improvement actions.
9. You will be working from Monday – Friday rotating shifts / 12-hour shifts, 3 weeks pattern, and 1 Saturday every 3 weeks for the Summer period (August – March) and every Saturday off during the Winter period (April – July).
10. You will be based at our Minto factory and involved in the processes of making our delicious ice-cream Streets brands such as Cornetto, Gaytime & Magnum.
11. You are responsible for the safe operation of the equipment focused on quality standards and efficiency.

14. Relevant experience in basic machine operations, forklift, warehouse, and inventory operation is preferred, however not essential.
