Twin Disc began operations in 1918 and has grown to be a diversified global organisation providing high quality products in specialised industries. In Australia, Twin Disc distributes and supports engineered propulsion and control systems for the maritime industry and heavy power transmission equipment for a wide range of applications.
This crucial role will work closely with the management and executive team to provide support, coaching and guidance across the company's operations which consist of Brisbane and Gold Coast Branches and some remote based employees in NSW, Western Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide support and guidance to line managers on recruitment, performance management, and resolving staff issues.
2. Oversee HR files and administration, including recruitment, onboarding, and induction training for new employees.
3. Coordinate and support training and development programs for employees.
4. Facilitate performance goal-setting in Success Factors, as well as regular appraisals and culture surveys.
5. Conduct HR audits to ensure alignment with company policies and practices.
6. Develop a strategic HR plan to support company goals and growth objectives.
7. Manage Work Health and Safety (WHS) initiatives across all sites, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
8. Oversee payroll processing through Definitiv outsourcing, administering the platform for onboarding and payroll changes.
9. Manage bonus and incentive schemes, industrial relations, and compliance with Fair Work Act regulations.
10. Participate in HR projects and assist the Financial Controller with additional duties as required.
What We're Looking For:
1. Previous experience in HR coordination, ideally within a technical or industrial environment.
2. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organisation.
3. Knowledge of WHS, HR compliance, and Australian employment law.
4. Experience in learning and development, with the ability to develop and deliver training programs.
5. Proficiency with HR software such as Success Factors and payroll systems like Definitiv (preferred).
