One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments is looking to engage an experienced ICT Procurement and Contract Manager to lead the planning, execution, and governance of ICT procurement and contract management activities to enable the successful delivery of critical projects.
The role will be based in Canberra .
The successful ICT Procurement and Contract Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Lead the planning and execution of ICT procurement strategies for PMO-led projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
Oversee the end-to-end ICT procurement lifecycle within the PMO, including tender development, evaluation, contract negotiation, and execution.
Develop and negotiate complex ICT contracts, such as SaaS, cloud computing, and managed services agreements, ensuring terms align with project needs.
Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure ICT procurement and contract deliverables support project delivery.
The successful ICT Procurement and Contract Manager will have experience in the following:
Demonstrated strategic thinking skills including the ability to understand their role and functions of the PMO and how they contribute to the department's objectives and those of the broader APS.
Strong analytical and research skills and an ability to interpret complex information.
Excellent time management and organisational skills, while remaining resilient and adaptable to changing plans and priorities.
Effective people skills as well as excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
