With an expanding portfolio, we currently employ approximately 2500 staff across Australia and have operated in all sectors of the security industry for over 20 years, providing peace of mind in an ever changing and challenging environment.About The PositionThe Payroll Officer will join our team based in Melbourne and will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of our end-to-end fortnightly payroll and administrative payroll tasks. We are open to flexibility in offering a 12 month fixed term part time or a fixed term full time position.This Position Will Be Responsible ForEnd to End processing of fortnightly payrollsOn-going maintenance of payroll system and leave planning systemUpdating and maintaining payroll recordsLiaising with staff and management on payroll related queriesMaintaining leave, sickness and overtime reportsInterpreting awards/agreements and contracts in relation to rates, overtime, shift allowanceUndertaking required reporting, both internal and statutory reportingPayroll administration including setting up new employees, answering phone call queries and general administrationProcessing increases and calculation of back pays and queriesCalculating Annual Leave and LSL provisions/accrualsAssisting Payroll Manager with end payroll processing responsibilities including month end reconciliationSupporting with reconciliation of payroll related General Ledger accountsTo Be Successful In This Role You Will HaveExperience in a similar positionExcellent communication skills and attention to detailSound understanding & the ability to interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements, while maintaining a commitment to confidentiality and privacy principlesExcellent organisation and time management skillsAbility to be flexible and work under pressureWe are looking for someone who is a team player, possesses a can-do attitude, likes to think outside the box and enjoys a challenge and variety.In return you will have the support of a dedicated team, ongoing training and development, flexible working arrangements, access to our EAP services, excellent remuneration and recognition for your hard work.
