Job Description Our Federal Government client requires a Senior Oracle DBA with a minimum 10yrs experience, with at least 2 years focused on database migration projects, specifically migrating from Oracle version 12c to Oracle 19c. If successful you will also play a pivotal role in their Oracle uplift project, migrating our database systems to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Experience working with OCI is highly desirable, as the Department aims to leverage cloud technologies to enhance their database management and scalability. This role requires a deep understanding of Oracle database technologies, cloud migration strategies, and the ability to ensure seamless, efficient transitions with minimal downtime. Responsibilities include: Oracle Database Migration Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Migration Database Administration Cloud Optimisation Collaboration and Planning Documentation and Compliance Essential Criteria include, but are not limited to: Background as a senior Oracle Data Base Administrator Proven experience as an Oracle DBA, with extensive knowledge of Oracle database administration, version 12c and 19c. Applicants must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with at least 2 years focused on database migrations and cloud technologies. Oracle DBA Certification and OCI Architect Certification are highly desirable Oracle Database and Cloud Infrastructure Migration Experience Demonstrated experience in migrating Oracle databases to newer versions and to cloud environments, preferably OCI Cloud Proficiency Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and familiarity with cloud services, tools, and best practices Technical Skills Strong understanding of database architecture, SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle RAC. Experience with Oracle Data Guard, Oracle GoldenGate, and backup/recovery techniques Role Particulars: Submission deadline: 11/03 Duration: 25/03 for 6 months Extension/s: 3 x 1 month options to extend Eligibility: Australian Citizenship | Possession of an NV1 security clearance is preferable, with a baseline security clearance as a bare minimum Location: Canberra, A.C.T Working arrangements: On-site at Canberra Offices minimum 3 days per week, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
