Your Opportunity As the ICT Support Officer, you will be responsible for: Be committed to delivering quality customer service. Support new technology rollouts and implementation of new solutions by providing basic training to customers. Take ownership of tasks and effectively monitor and action ICT service request and issues. This position reports to the ICT Service Coordinator. This is a Temporary, Part-time opportunity (0.4) Thursday and Friday, to 14 October 2025 unless otherwise determined. The position will be based primarily at Pimlico however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses. Key Responsibilities Perform your daily activities to promote and support the TAFE Queensland values of Safety First, Working Together, and Focussing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative. Work cooperatively and positively within your team and service providers to support change in relation to products and services and ensure customer satisfaction. Work effectively within contractual service boundaries to ensure an exceptional customer experience. Provide basic technology training and support to staff and students using customer's preferred communication channel. Support implementation of ICT solutions, including new and updated ICT hardware and software to reduce business disruption and contribute to higher technology adoption. Effectively monitor and action ICT service requests and issues to ensure business continuity. Take ownership of tasks by proactively following up and escalating concerns ensuring delivery of timely, efficient and effective ICT Service. Contribute to the accuracy and currency of the organisation's software and hardware inventory registers and records by adhering to end user device lifecycle management and asset utilisation processes. Maintain a working knowledge of the ICT Services technical documentation repositories. Proactively participate in Performance Planning and Development (PPD) processes, seeking opportunities for self-development and contributing to the development of the team through knowledge sharing and collaboration. Undertake specific tasks and duties as directed by your manager to support both Regional and TAFE Queensland ICT Services Projects and Initiatives. How you will be assessed The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities: Possess well developed interpersonal and communications skills and adapt to customer's preferred communication channel. Proven ability to work within a high performing team environment by working flexibly and being responsive to changing business needs. Proficiency in the use of a range of computerised systems and applications relevant to the activities of the ICT Service team. Demonstrated understanding of customer service, and the ability to deliver successful outcomes within specified timeframes. Demonstrated awareness of TAFE ICT technologies and an ongoing commitment to build expertise and maintain currency where required. Demonstrated ability to live and promote a strong ICT team culture that values the contributions of all team members, is honest and considerate, and through that contributes to a highly respected high-performance team. Mandatory/ Highly Desirable Requirements Travel and work across TAFE Queensland campuses will be required. The successful candidate must possess a current driver's licence.
