We seek like-minded colleagues to join our team who are committed to these values and culture.About The RoleFull Time OngoingBand 5: $76,871 + 11.5% superannuationRDO AvailableHybrid working options availableThis is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Payroll Officer to join our People & Culture Team.Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, your role is responsible for the successful and timely completion of the end-to-end Payroll function to produce a fortnightly payroll service for approximately 350 employees.Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited ToProcessing end to end payroll through accurate and efficient data entryEnsuring data captured is in accordance with all relevant Awards, Agreements, legislation and organisational policy and proceduresProcessing of new starters, occupancies, leave, workers compensation and terminationsProvide accurate specialist advice and support, with the guidance of the Payroll Team Leader, to resolve payroll queries in a timely mannerMaintain the integrity of the payroll data by implementing appropriate processes and using all available system functionalities to accurately capture all necessary informationAdministration and management of superannuation, income statements, employee voluntary deductions and, Enterprise Agreement (EA) and performance incrementsReconciling all payroll subsidiary ledgers fortnightly, monthly, and annuallyPartnering with key business stakeholders to continually improve the payroll functionSupporting the Payroll Team Leader and the Human Resources Coordinator with reports, projects, and tasksAbout YouTo be successful you will have:A certificate or diploma in Finance/Accounting or similar would be highly regardedRelevant experience in computerised payroll systems and/or similar experience in a finance administration roleDemonstrated knowledge of payroll procedures, legislative and statutory requirements, including the ability to interpret awards, Acts and policiesRelevant experience in data processing, reporting and administrationA high level of attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines in a pressured and changing environmentSelf-motivated and ability to work independently and with minimal supervisionThe ability to provide a caring and customer focused service to our customersWillingness to work in building a positive team environment, with a commitment to support and embrace a continuous improvement environment culture within the organisationWHY YOU'LL LOVE WORKING WITH US!Work-life balance with flexible working arrangementsRostered Days Off offered for full time rolesOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesSouth Gippsland is an organisation that is committed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
