Working as an Environmental Partner across Tassal’s Prawn and Barramundi operations, you will position Tassal for success through the delivery of best-practice environmental performance and regulatory compliance. Working as an integral member of our high-performing environment team, you will be responsible for providing technical support across a wide range of environmental management activities.Proserpine: Located on our prawn farm halfway between Airlie Beach and Bowen, you’ll work in a stunning area. And you’ll be working Monday - Friday so you’ll have plenty of time on the weekend to enjoy everything the Whitsundays have to offer!What does the Environmental Partner role look like?Delivery of compliance across operational sitesAssistance with preparation of audit evidence for internal, external, and third-party certification auditsDevelopment and implementation of environmental documentation, including technical reportsAssistance with compliance monitoring activities across Tassal’s aquaculture sitesParticipation in and representing the environment team at meetings/forums across the broader business or externallyManagement of contractors who undertake work to achieve compliance objectivesLiaison with regulatory bodies as authorised by National Environment ManagerUndertake regular site inspectionsProvision of support to the development and maintenance of the Environmental Management SystemAbout youOur ideal candidate will have:Bachelor's degree in science, environmental science, environmental engineering or similarMinimum of 2 years’ experience in an environmental management roleDriver's licence and reliable transportAbility to travel between operational sites, including some interstate travelExperience with Environmental Management Systems (desirable)Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work independently and as part of a broader teamBe solutions focused with a positive outlook at workStrong verbal and written interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify and communicate scientific informationAstute time management skills and be adaptable to changeAbility to deliver high quality reports and documentationBenefits for youCareer Progression – Don’t get stuck in a box – in an ever growing and changing business like Tassal, there are always opportunities for growth.It’s a lifestyle!
