An exciting opportunity for experienced anaesthetists to contribute to the delivery of high-quality anaesthetic services in a supportive, multidisciplinary setting.Live in a vibrant city – work in a major tertiary teaching hospital.Total Indicative Remuneration: $403,863 – $748,105 p.a. Ongoing Full-Time or Part-Time (Multiple Positions)You will join a collegiate team of 34 anaesthetic specialists.Key Responsibilities:Provide expert anaesthetic care across a variety of clinical settings, including elective and emergency surgeries.Participate in perioperative planning and patient optimization.Supervise and mentor junior doctors, including registrars and medical officers.Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical governance.Participate in the on-call roster to provide after-hours anaesthetic services.The work is challenging and rewarding with a broad range of services including:A 24-hour emergency anaesthesia service.Major surgery including colorectal, upper GI, liver, urology, breast-endocrine and gynaecology.Major orthopaedics including arthroplasty, revision surgery and trauma.Busy obstetric unit with over 3000 deliveries/year and a 24-hour epidural service.Other surgical specialties include paediatrics, ENT, plastics, ophthalmology, ECT, gastroenterology and bronchoscopy.24-hour acute pain service with daily rounds.Ongoing QI, audit, research and CME activities.Career Growth: Opportunities for teaching, research, and leadership roles.Work-Life Balance: Flexible work arrangements and a supportive workplace culture.Location: Renowned for its affordability, cultural vibrancy, and proximity to pristine beaches and world-famous wine regions.
