Program Improvement; Statewide Operations; Service Delivery – Child and Family; Brisbane
To work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders in the design, development and implementation of programs to assist DCSSDS in providing statutory child protection services with measurable outcomes.
To ensure consistent program management governance is applied, including a strong focus on internal and external communication strategies with stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
Extensive experience leading and managing the delivery of tertiary child protection services and possession of a degree and/or post graduate studies in related content is highly desirable.
Role specific/technical skills
High level knowledge and experience in program management, issues and trends in statutory child protection service delivery.
Demonstrated ability in operationalising significant changes in child protection services and leading significant systems change within complex and diverse service delivery environments.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide coordination and support in the development, management and implementation of activities and resources to maximise program performance in service delivery.
Provide timely strategic advice to senior management on issues pertaining to the progress and effectiveness of the programs.
Formulate and prepare proposals, recommendations, submissions and briefing papers and negotiate recommendations as senior executive level on policies and procedures as they relate to program management.
Establish comprehensive program, management and implementation plans to facilitate new programs for the branch.
Provide a high level of user support and communication and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders.
Effectively manage and provide leadership, supervision and support to your team and manage your team's budget, administration and reporting systems.
Identify opportunities to partner with external government agencies to leverage their capabilities and develop business cases to support new program of works in this space.
Ensure programs are aligned with the strategic direction of the Department, business areas and whole-of-Government meeting organisational capacity and budget requirements.
Provide advice on business issues relating to change management as a result of the implementation of, or changes to any programs.
Delegations
This role has a Level 6 human resource and financial delegation.
This position is aligned to the Team Leader profile of the Queensland Public Service Leadership competencies for Queensland.
To be successful in this role, you will be required to demonstrate capability in the areas detailed within the Role Profile.
This position reports to the Director.
