We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our warehouse team based in our Company's Head Office in Silverwater, New South Wales.
About the Role
You'll report through to the Head of Supply Chain and your duties will include:
* Leading warehouse & transport team to deliver on safety, service and quality.
* Provide effective leadership, motivation and mentoring to teams in managing the day-to-day warehouse operations.
* Daily organising and planning of warehouse resources (people/product/equipment) to ensure all requirements are met.
* Manage costs in line with warehouse & transport budget.
* Improve efficiencies by reviewing and improving processes and material flows.
* Drive a continuous improvement culture.
* Implement projects and lead change to support our customer base and optimisation in cost to serve.
* Support other departments to manage the flow of materials to ensure timely delivery of product.
* Ensure warehouse and surroundings are always in a clean, tidy state and professionally presented.
* Maintain a reporting framework, record, monitor & communicate performance.
* Ensures security policy and procedures are adhered to in accordance with the organisation.
* Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
About You:
Ideally you will demonstrate:
* Certification in warehouse & logistics.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role and operating environment (Perishable Goods, multi temperature controlled).
* Solid understanding of the operations of a manual distribution warehouse (controlled WMS).
* Proven experience in leading and delivering on improving warehouse operations.
* Effective leader with the ability to build good rapport with both internal & external stakeholders.
* Sound analytical skills with the ability to problem solve.
* High attention to detail, with strong work initiative.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
* Proficient in WMS knowledge (Manhattan or similar).
* Experience utilising RF terminals / devices.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Understanding of Quality, Food Safety & Handling principles.
* Minimum 10 years’ supervisory experience in FMCG industry.
