The role is ideal for a competent Nurse who wants flexible hours on a casual basis with a passion for the community's best interest. 2-hour minimum shift as per Nurses Award.REQUIREMENTSDegree in Nursing with current registration with AHPRAMaintain a current National Police Check (within 3 years)Driver’s license as travelling may be required to assist the clients around IllawarraCurrent Working with Children CheckCurrent First Aid & CPRAdhering to the relevant policies and proceduresGeneral understanding of the health and aged care system.Computer skillsDuties:The role will require assistance with low to high care including but not limited to:wound care, catheter care, assessment and plan reviews, assisting with Medication management and maintaining accurate records, and applying professional assessment skills to identify the physical, mental and psychosocial needs of clients and being able to develop a care plan to meet these needs using a multi-disciplinary approach when requiredAbility to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, case managers and hospital staffAssistance with activities of daily livingKEY COMPETENCIESAbility to function autonomously and exercise necessary independent judgement.Demonstrated empathy with elderly and disability participants.Good interpersonal skills and holistic assessment skills.Good time management skills, flexibility and an ability to set goals; prioritise tasks and work under pressure.Knowledge of local services available within the community.Complete handover notes along with any completed forms for further reviewsAdvocate for clients to ensure best outcomes.Job Type: CasualPay: $49.00 – $62.00 per hourWork Days:Monday to FridayLicence/Certification:National Police Check (Required)Work Location: In person
