Join Rockwell Automation in Australia as a Pre-Sales Solution Consultant (ERP) to provide pre-sales services to customers, focusing on Digital Transformation with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM).
We are looking for a problem solver who can respond to RFIs and RFQs, work with sales representatives on sales strategies, and present qualitative and quantitative value of proposed solutions.
The role requires strong technical skills, including experience with ERP software and manufacturing operations. You should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in operations management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other Business or Technical Field, and at least 6 years of experience in solution consulting/technical presales for manufacturing ERP software.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Responding to RFIs and RFQs
* Working with Enterprise Software sales representatives on sales strategies, plans, and execution
* Presenting qualitative and quantitative value of proposed solutions
* Creating custom presentations and documents to state customer business problems and ERP solutions and benefits
* Providing guidance to customers and implementers on ways to deploy proposed products, including alternatives and their costs and benefits
* Working with deployment teams on deployment strategies and proposals
* Preparing technical materials, presentations, and tools to improve sales team effectiveness
* Evaluating products and providing feedback on product features and performance
* Understanding and challenging customer needs, analyzing gaps, and proposing solutions
* Preparing and demonstrating our systems
* Communicating and selling the value of RA ERP (Plex) solutions focused on manufacturing Supply Chain
* Developing and performing technical software demonstrations specific to customer needs and concerns
* Performing discovery tasks to understand a prospect's business and their main business concerns
* Assisting the sales executive in relationship management, technical sales, and sales tool development
The essentials you will have include:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in operations management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other Business or Technical Field
* 6+ years of experience in solution consulting/technical presales for manufacturing ERP software
* 3+ years of ERP Presales experience with value selling & ability to tell a story of success
* Experience with industry-specific applications, manufacturing principles, and how to apply them
* 3+ years' experience in a Manufacturing environment (Automotive, General Manufacturing, Food and Beverage)
* Knowledge in manufacturing ERP modules/applications, such as Finance & Accounting, Customer & Sales Management
* Knowledge in Manufacturing Operations with core tools, such as MRP, Production Planning & Scheduling, Quality Management Systems, Inventory Control, MES & Industrial Automation
* Up to 50% travel
