You’ll be provided with structured supervision and opportunities to develop specialist core and advanced practice skills in a secure and supported work environment. You will work as a clinician and educator within a multidisciplinary and professional team context alongside experienced Podiatrists. You will have opportunities to participate in quality improvement and research activities and will be supported in your professional development as a Podiatrist.
In this role, you will work across both Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Osborne Park Hospital Podiatry departments, with a strong focus on managing high risk foot complications in the outpatient, inpatient and multidisciplinary clinical setting. Working across both hospitals, you will develop your skills in managing a diverse case mix, including delivery of podiatry services in acute, sub-acute and rehabilitation environments.
Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical services including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery, and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre and is the principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.
