About the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (NDIS Commission) is a regulator established on 1 July 2018 as an independent agency under section 181A of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 (NDIS Act) to improve the quality and safety of NDIS supports and services. The NDIS Commission is the dedicated national regulator of NDIS service providers in Australia.

Our Branch is at the forefront of providing critical support to the Commission to facilitate the transformation of the Commission to becoming a highly effective and contemporary regulator. The in-house legal team at the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission is looking for paralegals to join its practice. Paralegals will be engaged on a part-time basis at APS 3 level.
Key Duties
The duties of a Commission paralegal include:
* collating and preparing documents for courts and tribunals
* undertaking legal research and preparing notes documenting outcome of research
* reviewing and drafting documents and instruments
* collating, reviewing and summarising evidence
* supporting teams working on compliance and enforcement projects
* assisting with other tasks to support lawyers as required
* assisting with litigation, subject to the internal policies of the Commission
This is an exciting opportunity that will expose you to the complexities of litigation, from evidence gathering to the day in Court.
