About this Opportunity
A rare chance to join our team as a Logistics and Distribution Coordinator is available in Clarence Gardens, South Australia. Reporting to the DC Manager, this role involves coordinating logistics operations on shift, ensuring customer service delivery while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate all shifts, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
• Promote 'on time and in full' service according to customers' needs.
• Take corrective/preventative action in cases of potential under or over-supply of product.
• Ensure efficient communication across shifts.
• Liaise with Production Planning.
• Maintain proactive communication between departments.
• Labour Management, including casual workforce planning and payroll support.
• Proactive Performance Management, ensuring adherence to Lactalis policies and procedures.
• Facilitate toolbox talks and staff meetings.
• Maintain standard reporting systems and records.
• Ensure all orders are picked and loaded to plan, and trucks meet cold room dispatch times.
• Ensure stock rotation supports first-in-first-out product flow.
• Check codes and receipt stock within designated timeframe.
• Control cold room temperature to meet Lactalis standards.
• Assist in meeting budgetary guidelines.
• Coordinate Quality checks (GMP, processes, procedures, paperwork).
• Maintain knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, practices, and legislative requirements.
• Flexibility to work different shifts is required.
• Follow Quality and Safety policies and procedures at all times.
Note: Some out-of-hours work may be required.
About You
This role is ideal for those with experience in FMCG Distribution, preferably in Cold Rooms. Supervisory experience is advantageous, along with decision-making, planning, and leadership skills. Strong focus on communication, customer service, and continuous improvement is essential.
