Job Description
1. Developing and executing test plans that assess the functionality and performance of new and existing software applications and services.
2. Working closely with various teams to understand business requirements and develop appropriate testing strategies.
3. Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects discovered during testing.
4. Collaborating with developers to resolve issues and ensure software quality.
5. Assisting in the creation of user documentation and training materials.
6. Participating in the review of software design, change specifications, and plan against contractual and/or process requirements.
7. Providing feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.
8. Supporting the continuous improvement of the testing process.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Test Analyst should have:
1. A solid understanding of software development life cycle models and agile testing methodologies.
2. Proficiency in technical writing including comprehensive test plans and test cases.
3. Strong analytical skills to identify test requirements and potential improvements.
4. Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
5. A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
