ABOUT OUR CLIENTRecognised as one of Australia's largest and most successful providers of essential services to the community, our client is a privately owned, third generation success story.Due to a strong desire to grow and continually improve, they require an experienced General Manager - Fleet and Maintenance to manage the company's workshop, building maintenance, support staff and management systems.Duties:Plan, document and implement all company procedures;Liaise and meet with relevant Government bodies for fleet, ticketing and contractual issues as required;Drive continual improvement of fleet reliability and performance;Evaluate and implement new fleet cost saving products/technology, making recommendations for change;Plan, document and implement all Company policies and procedures;Work closely with the Managing Director in the compilation of a Fleet Plan that will meet company objectives and operating cost goals;Prepare short and long range plans for fleet;Build and maintain Company fleet expense budgets, as well as manage vehicle specifications for new and replacement vehicles;Complete employee performance appraisals as well as plan, schedule and arrange staff training as required;Build and maintain Company budgets, cash flows and financing of capital expenditure, containing and maximising profitability;Assist in the preparation of tenders and quotations as required.Skills & Experiences:Possess a Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business or Technical discipline is preferred but not mandatory;Have workshop or facility management background/experience, as well as a sound knowledge of heavy vehicle product & parts range;Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to a diverse range of people;Passionate about maintaining an uncompromising commitment to workplace safety;Have strong negotiation skills as well as excellent planning and organisational skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
