As a Project Engineer, you are to ensure the effective coordination and control of engineering works for a designated project through activities of technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement, and quality control based on CaSE / Clients standards. On-site, the Project Engineer is responsible for assisting to ensure the safe and successful completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and to the specified quality.Duties and Responsibilities in your role as Project EngineerQuality, Environmental And SafetyEnsure all quality and environmental aspects of the project are addressed to maintain effective operation and project delivery.Ensure non-conformances are recorded and corrective actions initiated as soon as practically possible.Prepare Inspection Test Reports and checklists that accurately reflect contract requirements.Conduct basic internal audits on project suppliers and subcontractors.Lead by example by meeting your own safety KPIs whilst ensuring project team members are aware of all activities and risks.Check that all activities and issues are documented on ‘site diary’ forms by the Site Supervisor.Planning and OperationsManage the operational aspects of work crews to ensure the effective and efficient use of systems and processes involved with all phases of the project management model.Ensure the delegated scope of works meets or exceeds the required performance targets in relation to time, cost, and quality.Provide input for the preparation of the short, medium, and long-term planning of the program works.Review the subcontractors' construction program(s) and assist in identifying critical areas/risks.Forecast the number of labour hours for the scope of works.Ensure availability to answer questions from site team and elevate to Project Engineer as necessary.ResourcingResponsible and accountable to ensure that the requirements of the Contract are being satisfied at work crew level.Coordinate resource allocation with the expectation that you would encourage effective teamwork and foster a positive attitude toward the achievement of organisational objectives.Track subcontractor resources daily and record accurately.Prepare cost plan/resources for daily cost planning meeting.The Successful Candidate Will Possess5+ years’ experience in a similar roleGood negotiation skills and experience dealing with external stakeholders and regulatorsExcellent communication skillsUniversity Degree in Civil Engineering is desirable.Why join the CaSE team?At CaSE, we believe our people are at the centre of our organisation and we recognise that they are the key to our success.
