About the Department
The Department of Adult Medicine comprises subspecialties including Aged Care, Infectious Diseases, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Oncology, General Medicine, Neurology, Respiratory, Haematology, Palliative Care, and Cardiology.
Your Role
This position contributes to after-hours rosters and offers clinical rotations in Medicine and Relief with opportunities in Cardiology, Aged Care, General Medicine, and MAU.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide medical care in conjunction with specialists and admitting medical officers for patients in Medicine and other areas within the hospital.
* Contribute to optimum health outcomes.
Selection Criteria
* Hold a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner for a minimum of three years with progress towards career goals in Medicine.
* Demonstrated clinical competency and an ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment.
* Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and problem-solving skills in the clinical setting.
