Your Role
As a Computer Systems Technician, you will be contributing to a service team, providing a high level of service and issue resolution in line with agreed performance standards.
Travel between schools and the Maryborough regional office will be a requirement of this role.
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and undertaking the following key tasks:
Participate in and be a member of an IT support service team ensuring that the team provides a high level of service and issue resolution in line with agreed performance standardsEnsure that agreed levels of service are maintained and contribute to the ongoing development of standardised processes required for the provision of IT supportInstall and maintain systemic management and educational delivery systems in accordance with departmental information standards and policiesProvide expert IT advice and support on the selection, procurement and installation of new hardware and software, as well as the enhancement of existing systemsAdvise, communicate, apply and monitor the implementation of departmental information standards and policiesParticipate in service level and work practice reviewsMaintain currency of technical proficiency and skillsSkills In The Following Areas Will Be Highly Regarded
A detailed working knowledge of Windows 2016 and above server operating systemsA high level of technical knowledge of server hardware and configuration, and network switchesA good understanding of end user device and printer supportKnowledge of Windows 10 and above, iPadOS, and MacOSTravel and overnight absences from base may be required of this positionMandatory Requirements
Diploma of Information Technology (or equivalent based on ACS skills assessment)A drivers licence is a requirement for this position due to travel required between base location and schools on a regular basis.
