We are seeking an experienced IT Desktop Support Engineer to join our growing team in Perth. As an IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our employees and ensuring that our IT infrastructure is functioning smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, and networking issues
2. Monitor and maintain the health of our IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and networking equipment
3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and networking
4. Assist with the installation and configuration of new hardware and software
5. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels
6. Ensure data backups are completed regularly and test restoration procedures
7. Provide training and guidance to employees on the proper use of technology tools
8. Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems and procedures
9. Participate in ongoing IT projects and initiatives
Requirements:
10. Diploma or degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent
11. At least 2 years of experience in a similar IT Support role
12. Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, hardware, and networking
13. Familiarity with Office 365 and other cloud-based software applications
14. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a clear and concise manner
15. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
16. Excellent customer service skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
17. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
