About the Role
We are seeking Registered Nurses (Div 1) with a minimum of 2 years' post-registration experience to participate in our Transition to Mental Health Program. This program offers a unique opportunity to complete rotations across various bed-based areas within the Mental Health directorate.
As part of this program, you will be fully supported in developing your mental health nursing skills, learning evidence-based treatments, and practicing in a recovery-oriented, client-centred, and family-inclusive environment. This is a great opportunity to expand your expertise and make a positive impact in the mental health field.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver evidence-based, best-practice clinical assessments and treatments to support patient care.
* Collaborate effectively and contribute actively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including risk evaluation, to prioritise the needs of patients and their families.
* Develop, implement, and regularly review treatment and wellness plans addressing the biological, psychological, and social needs of patients and their families.
* Engage proactively in clinical supervision and apply insights to improve practice.
* Participate in ongoing service improvement initiatives as part of a commitment to continuous quality enhancement.
Skills & Experience
* Registered Nurse with a current AHPRA registration
* Hold a current Victorian Drivers Licence
* Ongoing commitment to the delivery of evidence-based and best practice, family-inclusive treatments for patients with a serious mental disorder
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary, evidence-based treatments and best practices, with the ability to provide appropriate clinical responses within a multidisciplinary team context in day-to-day operations.
* Minimum two years’ experience post registration.

This position is paid in accordance with the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement. The classification is Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 2 (NP11 – NP70) which ranges from $34.68 - $48.99 per hour.
