About the role As Principal Planning and Development Officer, you will use your exceptional leadership skills to ensure marine farming activities are sustainably managed to achieve maximum economic development while being sensitive to industry and community concerns.
Prepare legislation, subordinate legislation, policy, and marine farming development plans. Manage the performance and development of staff in the section. Liaise and negotiate with industry, the community, and other stakeholders. Provide high-level policy advice about marine farming management and development. Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
Minimum Requirements A Degree in science, natural resource management or a related field relevant to the duties to be undertaken, as provided by a university or at least five years of work experience in the sustainable development of natural resources. Ability and competence to operate safely in the marine environment including the holding of Coxswains Grade 2 or ability to complete the required training.
