The Westpac Banking Platform domain is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join our team. The Banking Platform team is involved in several exciting projects aimed at enhancing features for our Digital, Lender, and Broker Channels. In this role you will utilise your Oracle Banking Platform (OBP) knowledge and experience to lead and support the wider engineering team. You will also leverage your strong stakeholder management skills and excellent communications skills to consult and partner with various teams and stakeholders. Core Responsibilities in the role will include: Engineering: Lead and manage solution design outcomes and design large or complex systems. Select appropriate design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and ensure they are applied effectively. Review others' systems designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology. Contribute to policy for selection of architecture components. Evaluate and undertake impact analysis on major design options and assesses and manages associated risks. Ensures that the system design balances functional, service quality, security and systems management requirements Collaboration: Collaborates with various teams across the bank including Architects, Solution Designers, Infrastructure, Operations, Functional Analysts, Business Teams, Project teams to ensure strong relationship are maintained and technology requirements are understood. Technical leadership: Provides strong stakeholder management and technical leadership to develop functional & technical solutions with the goal of providing reliable, stable and operationally sound applications that meet business requirements What do I need? Proven experience in a similar Tech Lead role Expertise in Oracle Banking Platform is a must Experience in banking domains ideally Loan Originations, Lending (Secured/Unsecured), Digital Origination, Integration using REST APIs Experience working on a Core banking implementation (will be an advantage) Excellent verbal and written communication skills using an open, clear and engaging manner JAVA, J2EE, Oracle BPM, OBP Host, Oracle Service Bus (OSB), REST API, MicroServices, Kafka Oracle ADF, Oracle SOA Oracle Weblogic Server, Apache Tomcat Web services, WSDL, SOAP, XSD, XML, JSON/YAML Oracle 12c or any SQL databases Jira & Confluence Version control using BitBucket Issue root cause analysis using tools like Splunk, SQL Developer & AppDynamics What’s in it for me?
