If so, please apply!Based in Melbourne, this role may require some travel across Australia.A day in the life of a Business Development Manager at Toll Group:Supporting the creation and execution of the vertical's growth strategy (including business development, sales and marketing) for Toll Managed Services within Government & Defence.Provide market intelligence on customers, competitors, and market factors to support decision-making and business objectives.Manage a structured customer engagement process for select customers, including stakeholder mapping, engagement planning with other Business Units and tracking of insights and needs.Manage complex customer solutioning and negotiations/ tender responses following our common approach and leveraging resources from across Toll to bring the solution to the customer.Identify and propose growth opportunities, collaborating with the Bids & Growth Solutions Team for Go/No Go decisions.Act as the main link between the business and Bids management team for relevant tender submissions.Support transition of new customers to steady-state delivery working closely with the central transition team, capability leads and nominated contract lead.Promote cross-business standards and opportunities, enhancing end-to-end service excellence and leveraging market capabilities.About You:An undergraduate degree in Business or Logistics Management or a related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution - highly regarded.7+ years of experience in a business development role with a focus on solution-oriented approaches, preferably within the services or supply chain industries.Strong understanding of business development, including management of major bids and contracts.Good working knowledge of salesforce operations and sales processes for contracting business.Experience selling services instead of product-based selling - highly regarded.4PL & Supply Chain experience - highly beneficial.Global Mobility/Relocation Services exposure and experience - advantageous.You must be entitled to work in Australia and be prepared to undertake pre-employment checks including a criminal history check and medical.
