Oil & Gas - Engineering & Maintenance (Mining, Resources & Energy)Full timeThe OpportunityAt APA, our purpose is simple: to strengthen communities through responsible energy.We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Networks Engineer to join our Networks Planning and Engineering team in Thomastown, Eagle Farm or Kidman Park office for 12 months on a Full Time basis.Reporting to the Team Lead for Engineering Major Projects, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality engineering design and technical documentation to support APA's operations. This includes end-to-end involvement in new asset development and upgrades to existing plant and equipment, from initial design through to construction and commissioning. Your expertise will be key to ensuring project success and advancing our operations to the next level.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop engineering design documentation across concept, front-end, and detailed design phases for assigned projects.Prepare detailed engineering documents, including calculations, statements of work, specifications, datasheets, reports, and drawings.Ensure engineering and design outputs from APA, external providers, and vendors align with project, statutory, and license requirements, as well as relevant APA, Australian, and international standards.Create and review engineering work packs for tender and procurement.Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and operational handover stages.Your BackgroundTertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, ideally leading to corporate membership with Engineers Australia or equivalent (required).Work experience in design, construction, operations, or maintenance within gas transmission, distribution, gas processing, LNG, chemical processing, power generation, or related sectors.Familiarity with statutory requirements and relevant Australian and international codes and standards.Knowledge of Environmental and Health and Safety legislative requirements.Strong focus on continuous improvement and innovation.Working at APAAt APA we're committed to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace where you can achieve your best.
