In this full-time role, you will be a vital part of our team in Newcastle as you will lead the growth of our Newcastle hire division by servicing Burwell equipment. You will also be assisting in warehouse operations and any ad hoc duties required for our branch to achieve soaring heights. Don’t fret if you don’t have any servicing knowledge, we provide full training and support. All we ask is the desired applicant to be eager and willing to learn, have a mechanical mind or interest in the field, have a hardworking attitude and want to be a vital part of the Newcastle team. You will be working in a small team, reporting to the Newcastle Branch Manager.ResponsibilitiesPick and pack ordersUnload and load trucksConduct stocktakesMaintain general cleanliness of the warehouseAssist with hire equipment divisionPerform basic servicing of branch hire equipmentDispatch and receipt branch hire equipmentOrganise transportation of products receivedMaintain a safe work environment at all timesStock shelf maintenanceReview orders before & after delivery to ensure completenessMaintain accurate records and documentation of all work performedAnswer inquiriesAssist other staff when requiredGrow existing and new customer accountsOther duties as requested by the Warehouse Manager and Branch ManagerWhat You’ll Need To SucceedDrivers LicenceComfortable with computers and learning new systemsMinimum 2 years warehouse experienceOwn mode of transportExperience in operating a forkliftSome mechanical aptitudeComputer literate in Word, Excel, Outlook, and MYOBStrong communication skillsPositive attitude & willingness to learnPrevious experience in manual handling roles is highly desirableAbility to work well in a team and autonomouslyHonest, reliable, and hardworkingAbility to complete orders on a timely scheduleCommitment to following safe working practicesAbility to meet deadlines and problem solveKnowledge of the industry would be advantageousAbility to lift up to 25kgsDirect selling experienceAbility to work unsupervisedAbility to identify pain points and address customer needsExcellent communicator at all levelsThink on your feetIf you have drive and a willingness to learn, then we are happy to train the right candidate.As a little something extra, Burwell offers an extra day of leave for you.
