About the role
Queensland Rail have a permanent fulltime opportunity for an experienced Rollingstock Planning Manager to join our South East Qld Rollingstock team based in Brisbane. In this role, you will be responsible for optimising the utilisation, reliability, and availability of City Network Rollingstock through the application of best-practice asset management principles. You will lead the planning of all maintenance activities and manage a team responsible for immediate defect response and long/short-term maintenance strategies.

* Strong background in rollingstock planning, maintenance, and strategic asset management
* Proven leadership in managing multi-disciplinary teams and large-scale planning functions

Position Description
Key Responsibilities
* Optimise fleet availability through immediate defect response and long/short-term maintenance planning, while integrating with key operational areas.
* Lead a high-performing team of planners, coordinators, and systems officers-fostering collaboration, initiative, and asset management excellence.
* Engage with cross-functional stakeholders (train control, crew, engineering, suppliers) to align operational impacts and maintenance schedules.
* Utilise asset management systems (particularly EAMS/SAP) to inform and support decision-making through lifecycle visibility and reporting.
* Develop and execute maintenance plans that align with safety, compliance, engineering upgrades, and infrastructure changes (e.g., road closures, OHLE
