Manufacturing and Production Tullamarine, Melbourne, Australia Quality Control Team Leader This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Quality practitioner to join the Quality team at our Tullamarine industrial bakery site.Key accountabilities include: Perform the monitoring of all site activities though sampling, assessment, testing and analysis to ensure that raw materials, water, intermediate products, finished products, environment, and equipment comply with Allied Pinnacle, BRC, WQA and major customer standards and requirements.Perform the day to day activities of the site to meet production and product release requirements.Assist investigations into out of specification results and customer complaints.Investigate and close out customer complaints.Keep up to date and accurate records of all tests performed.Ensure that samples are sent to external laboratories as required and manage the receive of results.Use finished product release systems to ensure timely availability of finished products to the supply chain, and only products that meet specifications are released.Participate in the site HACCP team.Report process performance deviations and out of specification results wherever they occur in site processes to the site Quality Manager as soon as practicable.Assist in the investigation of process deviations, out of specification results, non-conforming product, food safety & quality incidentsFacilitate the documentation and follow up of corrective actions.Drive the completion and action of scheduled GMP audits and self-inspections with the site team.Work collaboratively with other functions on matters relating to quality and find resolutions.Assist in the provision of training in quality and system related matters and ongoing maintenance of the Quality Management System.Assist the site Quality Manager with ad hoc projects as required.Assist in plant validations and process improvements.The requirements: Tertiary / TAFE qualification in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cereal Chemistry, Food Technology or other related scienceInternal auditing training- highly desiredHACCP / Food Safety Qualifications – desirableMinimum 2 years in a Food Manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with BRC, WQA & Coles standard requirements.Basic knowledge of laboratory methods and procedures.Awareness of Manufacturing Standards (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures.Demonstrate flexibility in working hours to meet deadlines or production requirements Good communication skills and attention to detail.
