DESCRIPTION
The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Worldwide Financial Services team is looking for an experienced Financial Services Specialist (Capital Markets) to join our fast-paced team and help drive AWS adoption in the Financial Services industry in Australia. As a Banking Specialist, you will have the opportunity to be part of a team focused on increasing technology adoption of cloud computing by engaging with executives and influencers at all levels. You will work closely with teams across AWS to build relationships with financial institutions, from FinTech startups to the largest global financial entities in the world.
Strategically, the AWS FSI Specialist seeks to understand the needs of Capital Markets customers, the overall trends in the industries. Financial Services Specialists play an active role in developing business cases, analyzing project goals, creating plans to achieve those goals, and then driving the AWS team members, stakeholders/SMEs to achieve those goals while addressing industry-specific execution challenges.
Tactically, the FSI Specialist is responsible for planning and leading business development initiatives through their understanding of their customers, their solutions, and the key solutions vendors and system integrators who deliver those solutions. They leverage their management and leadership capabilities to identify and manage risks, resolve issues and escalate where appropriate to drive initiatives to successful completion.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- 7+ years of professional or military experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner
- Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations
