The Role:
The Village Manager/Sales Consultant is to be responsible for the Retirement Village for the lifestyle of the residents.
They will also look after the sales and marketing duties that come with the turnover of residents.
Some of the responsibilities will include, and are not limited to:
5. To ensure the efficient operation of the retirement village complex in conjunction with the Operations Manager
6. Appointment of staff
7. To direct, control and manage staff and contractors as specified
8. Conduct staff performance appraisals in line with Company policy.
9. To provide input into the preparation of budgets.
10. To maintain and implement strategies for continuous improvement to the efficiency and operations of the village.
11. To ensure all the grounds and buildings, plant and machinery are maintained to a high standard.
12. To ensure that a 24 hour, 7 day per week emergency care service is available to residents
13. To organise tours or village outings as required
14. Maintain and improve work health and safety standards.
15. Conduct tours of the village for prospective residents and their family/friends
16. Promote sales by assisting with the implementation and arrangement of shopping centre promotions and meetings with sporting, charitable and service clubs to promote a good relationship with the community.
17. Adhere to Sales budget requirements
18. Assist with the marketing and re-leasing of units when required
19. Be fully educated on all products and services in all aspects including disclose documents, Retirement Village/Privacy legislation, which includes but is not limited to the sale of units, resident leases, the Company’s Articles of Association and Retirement villages Act, as well as any future legislative changes
The Candidate:
20. MUST have experience as a Retirement Village Manager, ideally also retirement sales experience
21. Has a courteous and friendly demeanor
22. Have the ability to multitask and have solid organisational skills.
